Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

  • What services do you provide?

Electrodialysis (ED), bipolar electrodialysis (BPED/EDBM), and RO/NF consulting; general process engineering - including design reviews, troubleshooting, operating envelopes, and SOP/CIP development for water, food & beverage, and specialty process industries; feasibility and pilot study planning, analysis, and scale-up; process development for capital projects including heat/material balances, PFD, P&ID, economics, equipment lists, and vendor selection.

  • Who is a good fit for ED/BPED consulting?

Plants desalting/deashing/deacidifying or generating acid/base, teams fighting rising ΔV/cell-pair or fouling, and process developers moving from pilot to production.

  • What outcomes can we expect?

Lower ΔV/cell-pair, improved yield/recovery, more stable operation, and cleaner maintenance playbooks.

  • Do you work with all OEMs/EPCs/membranes?

Yes—vendor-neutral across all EPCs, OEMs and ED, EDBM/BPED, and RO/NF/UF membrane suppliers.

  • Can you help design new ED systems as well as troubleshoot existing ones?

Yes—front-end design (FEL-style reviews) and in-operation optimization are both offered.

  • What information do you need to start?

Recent trends (flow, current, voltage), feed and product specs, SOPs/CIPs, alarms, and any pilot/scale-up data.

  • How quickly can you start?

Typically within 1–2 weeks; urgent remote diagnostics are often available sooner, as quickly as 1-2 days.

  • Do you offer onsite support?

Yes—remote first, with onsite visits as needed for diagnostics, troubleshooting, commissioning, or training.

  • Do you sign NDAs?

Yes—NDAs are welcomed and commonly used.

  • Where are you based and do you work globally?

Denver, Colorado - based. Provide remote and on-site support to clients globally.

  • How long is a typical engagement?

2–6 weeks for diagnostics and stabilization; longer for design/scale-up programs.

  • How are fees structured?

Fixed-scope packages for common assessments; time-and-materials for open-ended R&D or support. Request a proposal for specifics.

  • Can you train our operators and engineers?

Yes—SOPs/CIPs, set-point guidance, and hands-on sessions are included as needed.

  • How fast can you diagnose rising ΔV/cell-pair?

Often within the first session using your trends plus a brief site interview.

  • Can you support FEL-1/2 and hand off to EPC?

Yes—board-ready outputs and a clean transition to EPC or continued support.

  • How do we get started?
