Alexander J. Gorman
Background
Alex Gorman is the founder of Gorman & Associates, a Denver-based process engineering consultancy focused on solving complex separation and fluid-processing challenges. Over 20 years in industry, Alex has built, optimized, and scaled membrane-based processes—Electrodialysis (ED), Bipolar ED, Reverse Osmosis, and CCRO—for both water and product streams in food & beverage, chemicals, and advanced manufacturing.
Previously, Alex was the Global Process Engineering Leader for electrodialysis at SUEZ (formerly GE Water), where he standardized designs, created rigorous modeling tools, and supported projects from feasibility through FAT, commissioning, and long-term performance improvement. He has led and supported multi-million-dollar capital projects, cut commissioning timelines dramatically through simulated controls testing, and is known for turning ambiguous R&D concepts into robust, production-ready systems. Alex holds an M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
